This morning I walked out of the house and it was snowing. Big, huge snowflakes sticking to the ground. I stood there for awhile and wondered if I should just call in sick so I can play with the snow. Its the first snow of the year, and Vancouver is not getting it. I guess since Burnaby is closer to the mountains and higher up we are getting some good ones. I miss my sports car. It never makes it through any kind of snowy weather…..
On my walk home from the train tonight, I was wondering who I can bug to come and play with me tonight in the snow. I have closets and closets of clothes, but no gloves. How can I not own a pair of gloves? So, I am sitting at home alone instead with my curtains wide open watching the snow fall down and writing on my blog.
I think I have a seasonal disorder happening here. The weird kind though. I get really happy walking in the rain, and playing with the snow. Not just okay happy. But really happy. I must be losing it in my old age.
Thats not the only thing thats been happening lately either. I hung up on Lemmy again today. Oh, probably for the 10th time or so. And if he calls me again one more time at the office to talk about Paypal, I promise never to ever talk to him again.
My mom called me at work today. She was worried. I dont know why she would think that I would be driving in from Surrey. The most weirdest thing. There was a big crash on Patullo bridge because of the snow and she wanted to make sure it was not me. Oh how sweet. I hope to be as nice and thoughtful of other people when I get to be her age.
I didnt get much work done today. I had a big problem with one of my clients. And of course, as typical, everything has just gone south on this one. After 4 hours, all is well. And everyone is happy. But I had not gotten anything done.
Tonight, I was going to go to the Art Gallery with Dave and Patrick. They are showcasing the Group of Seven. But I just am not feel up to any socializing at all. I mean, look at me. I would rather go play in the snow, in the freezing cold than go to something social. I am so glad I got out of that one. Lem also asked me if I wanted to come over for dinner, and said no to that one either.
Well, I guess Ill just go and sit by my window.
