Did you miss the last episode of your favourite soap?

I hate it when that happens to me too, especially when I come home and find out that my machine has encountered a "technical malfunction" and didn't record the episode.

It's a good thing that I am able to check updates at Soap Opera News. I can get all the latest juicy tidbits on my shows and my favourite soap stars, even for the soaps that I don't watch too often. Did you know that today is Matthew Nile Ashford's (Jack Deveraux - Days of Our Lives) birthday? I grew up watching that show and I thought I knew everything about it and the cast.

Soap Opera News even has spoilers for future episodes. Okay, if you go and read them, just don't tell me about it...

So I have been tossing the idea of revising this blog. I was thinking that maybe I've outgrown the design. I thought about customizing it. Maybe pick different colors. Make a splashy header. Probably add a third column.

Then I decided. What The Hell.

I'll just make a new site instead. I wanted to make something similar to The Crazy Generation because I miss the $$ revenue it brought in at its peak. This time I decided to open a website just for cheaters to hang out :) Check out ID Cheaters.

This is how I made the website:

This site was developed using Microsoft Office Software FrontPage. It uses html declarations and not CSS.

Banner graphic from Big Stock Photo for just $1 and I used free fonts from FontFace.

This site is monetized by Google Adsense, Lavalife and Astrology.com advertisements.

Doesn't it look so pretty?

I am glad that all I've been getting on my blog are psycho spammers. My visitors have been very nice, polite, if not supportive. And I luv u all ....

Some blogs are not so lucky, and it forces the owners to moderate comments to weed out the crackheads with their absurd comments. Spammers are the least of their problems.

My dad always told me if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. This simple rule should be essential on blog netiquette. Blogs are blogs. They are the personal extention and thoughts of the owner. If you don't agree to what is written, just leave and don't come back.

That's not hard is it? Be nice.

So, I decided to get my hands wet with Squidoo.

I opened a couple of Squidoo lenses. I started when I first rolled out of bed, still tired from having a restless sleep. At first, I was kind of irritated that I had to sit there and figure out their module system. After an hour of trying to find out what each module does, I managed to make a decent go of it.

It's actually kind of impressive. I am beginning to understand how they've become so popular as a blog alternative. And how much money they could possibly be generating. Their API integration alone with their sponsor affiliates is ingenius.

Here's a link to The Coupon Superstore which I am populating with The Discount Diva content. I added the Amazon module under each of the postings to compliment (not to compete) the topic.

Squidoo is also one of those make-money-on-the-internet venture, and let's see what kind of revenue it generates.
Hey, I'm just happy for click throughs to my affiliates....

Getting a good night sleep is good for your heart.

That's why I'm screwed. I am probably going to keel over from hypertension and die young. That is, if diabetes or a stroke doesn't get to me first. Sounds very dismal. I know.

Here's just a check list on sleep apnea that I've been reading up on:

Daytime sleepiness - yup that's me. Halfway through the day I have to fight the urge to nap. There are even times when I napped twice in a day.

Change of metabolic function - I just can't seem to get a schedule going with my eating, work and workout habits because I just can't sleep at will. Like Lem. I envy those that can just sleep at will.

Sleep disordered breathing - Ralph Downey III, PhD, of the Sleep Disorders Center at Loma Linda University Medical Center says that in the case of patients with sleep apnea, "the airway blocks off due to obstruction and they stop breathing for 10 seconds to a minute, which is repeated hundreds of times in a night. The body, in essence, is being assaulted by the damage done from intermittent lack of oxygen to the heart, brain and other important organ systems, and yet such an assault goes unreported." I just drive Lem batty at night.

Did you know that when I was a little girl my dad would drive me around the block until I fell asleep? I miss him.

If you are in the market to upgrade your cell phone, or just to find the best super deal on wireless plans, then go check out Wirefly.com. We all know that they are #1 when it comes to getting you the best deal on anything cell phone related - phones, plans, accessories.

Wirefly's latest promotion on Tmobile Cell Phones is offering so many exclusive online deals when you register for a 2 year T-Mobile account. They are giving away $50 Mail-In Rebates on select plans. That's right! That is $50 cash back into your wallet. Can you believe it?

And the deals do not stop there. Some T-Mobile plans are even giving away free cell phones to their customers - Gray Razr, Magenta Razr, Blackberry 7290, Motorola V195, Samsung T209 just to name a few. Wirefly also offers the new BlackBerry Pearl, Blackberry 8700G, Motorola v3t and T-Mobile MDA at prices too low to advertise on their website!

Well, if your New Year's resolution is to save money on your cell phone bill and accessories, then you know that now is the time to act on it. With deals like this, they will be gone before you know it. Grab it while it's hot!

I don't know how it got started, but I like to watch television and internet shows in mute. Strange, I know.

I finished yesterday an article on Kevin Federline and his upcoming Superbowl television ad (can you imagine?) and I decided to go Youtube surfing to see if there is anything embed worthy on him.

I found a music video of one of his singles, and if you watch it mute, he's almost really decent. You can almost see what Britney Spears saw in him. Maybe it's when he opens his mouth to speak (and rap) that people find him reprehensible. Even I find him intolerable. Trash.

Okay, go watch it mute.

Note to K-Fed: Where are the hoochie mamas? I was expecting a K-Fed video to be Girls Gone Wild style.

Lem and I spent all night yesterday customizing his WordPress blog. I finally convinced him to tweak his Google adwords and bring in some of the affiliate advertising that he's had in his back pocket. His blog is looking sweet as pie. Go visit him and say hello!

WordPress templates are actually quite easy to customize, even if you are building a template from scratch. They have invested in their product development and provides their users with all these cool plug-ins free of charge. I seriously believe Blogger is going to take awhile before it catches up. Blogger Beta is getting mixed reviews. I, for one, will stay in the old Blogger until I there is no more.

I decided not to use WordPress on any of my projects because I only want to learn one CRM software - Joomla. I just never got around to it. After last night, I thought there's never going to be a good time to get cracking. So, I dowloaded the software and I am on page 20 of the how-to manual that's about a million pages long. No brain numbing stuff yet. I only got far as chapter one, but it looks like I made the right choice. I hear that Joomla is not going to be disappointing so I guess it is worth the time and investment.

And I have a big project just waiting to happen!

I have decided to expand my horizon and challenge myself into doing a little bit of journalistic work for my blogs. In the next few months, I will be publishing a series of articles based on exclusive interviews with well known personalities and emerging trends.

The first piece I finished is titled APO Jeans - The Classiest Bling In Town at the The Designer Diva over the weekend. This is a fun fashion piece on the hottest emerging fashion trend - premium custom designer jeans. APO Jeans was very kind to give me an exclusive interview with their CEO and press photos of ther products. I was excited and nervous to publish this piece, but as I want (more like crave) to have one of their one-of-a-kind creation, it went quite smoothly.

I dotted my t's, crossed my i's, and guess what? I spell checked. Good for me (a big pat in the back).

This little experiment has gotten very interesting. I have realized the potential of what it is to be a blogger. I have been able to get a media pass for upcoming local events and cruise ship tours. And I'm getting business cards printed! Ya baby - this is going to be FUN!

So, there is still hope for me at last!

Today is just one of those days that I would just love to jump back to bed .... and sleep. Sleep until tomorrow has come and gone. Unfortunately I have spent all of last night tossing and turning again. If I'm not mistaken, I've slept a total of 2 hours and probably 7 hours total in the last 3 days.

Before I slept last night I checked my new press releases and found an article on Sleep Doctor Michael Breus - Bloggers Challenge to Sleep Better... And to Write About Their Results. Dr. Breus is the author of "Good Night: the Sleep Doctor's 4-Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health", co-founder of Sound Sleep Solutions and developer of the Sleep Advantage® program in the Crowne Plaza Hotels. He is WebMD's sleep expert and sleep disorders blogger and an AOL Health and Wellness Coach.

The first thing I did when I cracked open my computer (after I gave up on trying to get some good zzz's) is to send him an email on how to get involved. If I get picked, I'll get a free copy of his book. Once I complete his program, I will need to blog about my efforts and changes. If all goes well, I will be awarded a free half-hour sleep coaching with the doctor.

If I wasn't too tired I'd be jumping up and down and tellin' the whole world. Just not today.

Sleep..... I want to Sleep...... Maybe I need to go back to counting sheep.

I know it's too late to get the shout out for tonight's party, but Suzi is having another get together next Saturday, January 27th at Howie's Bistro and Bar.

There is no entrance to get in, and the class at 8:30PM is free. Suzi teaches the most funnest salsa, merengue and cha cha classes. And if you are single, well, this could be a good time to hook up with someone else. Salsa venues are always filled with sexy singles looking to connect.

The address for Howie's is 2830 Bainbridge Avenue in Burnaby. Come alone. Come with a group. And just have fun! No salsa experience required!

A note to Mother Nature, cut the global warming crap and give me back my sun.

I was washing dishes and noticed through the window that it is snowing again. For a minute I thought, God, I am glad I didn't move to Alberta. Then it occured to me that even if Alberta is having their snowstorms, weather like this just doesn't happen to Vancouver. British Columbia is the warmest province in all of Canada. It rarely snows. It just rains a lot.

Last Monday's snow storm marks the 15th storm we have had since November. I guess I don't know if you count today's snowflakes as the 16th. How screwed up is that?

I moved here in 1998 from California so I am used to Santa Ana winds blowing through for days, but the storms we've had here are just plain freaky. The blow for days gone for a day and then back for another two days. If that's not bad enough, snow storms come right after that. Then the whole cycle begins. We've had power outages, internet problems, and all hell has broken loose on the streets. It snowed so much that a radio station reported a snow plow just working on a 2 mile radius going back and forth could not keep up because the snow was coming down so fast the size of mini snowballs.

In the meantime, Ontario's skiing season is a nightmare since they've been having Vancouver's might fine winter weather. It's also affecting gas prices. Here in British Columbia we pay an average of $0.25+ more per litter. Worldwide effects are pretty bizarre - Switzerland's bald ski slopes and snow in Los Angeles?

I finally had a lookover at the CSS Tab Designer over at Highdots.com and I don't know how I went designing CSS without it. I also can't believe that this software program is free and I should have looked at it before I just decided to bookmark it for a future review.

Highdots.com has a software you can download to your computer that lets you over 20 CSS Tabs. It supports rounded edges, square edges, vertical and horizontal menu bar. It is very easy to use so you do not even need to know a lot about how CSS works and would definitely give your website that definite edge.

Before cutting and pasting the CSS code to your blog or website, all you have to do is change the href attribute settings so that it knows where to send the click and if you like, change the name of the tab. But they have been so nice to pre-name 7 tags with Home, Products, Services, Support, Order, News and About. They have made it very, very easy to customize it to your own needs by installing an Items Menu Bar that you can click to add a tab, edit a tab, or fill with more samples.

Here are just some of the very cool choices you can use:

Up until 6 o'clock this morning (insomnia kicking in again), I never knew what this really meant. I decided to run an html validator on one of my sites. I consider it probably the biggest faux pax I have done this week so far, and, it is only Monday.

It found 100 mark-up errors starting with my html declaration and of course, I was gungho to fix them all. Mark-up errors be gone I say! So, I got reading on articles relating to that, which eventually led me to Google's Webmaster optimization notes that says "clean up your html or the spiders might not come and crawl".

Well, I can honestly say that after 4 hours of reading, trying to understand, and wanting to kick the crazy machine I call the computer, I am still back where I was at 6 o'clock in the morning. A lot of confused codes because HTML 4.01 Transition will not take HTML 4.01 Strict deprecated elements and attributes and HTML 4.01 will not take HTML 4.01 Transition.....

Huh? You say? Exactly.

Every single day when we read the newspapers, or when we tune in to our favourite television news show, home invasions are becoming to be more than just a regular topic. They now happen to your neighbors, to your officemates, and even to your friends and relatives.

Over the weekend, my girlfriend and I went shopping for Home Security systems for her house. She is a single female living alone in a house close to a high traffic street. Recently, her elderly neighbor was broken into. Luckily, her neighbor was not home. Unfortunate for my friend, she was home and was the first to report the incident to 9-1-1. This incident made her mind up about installing a security system to protect her when she is home and to protect her house when she goes away on business trips.

The home security solutions she is looking at are: Wireless Home Security System w/Voice Auto-Dialer, IP Network Camera, and Keyless Door Entry. She likes the idea that these security measures are designed to call six numbers when the alarm starts, she can access the network camera from a computer anywhere in the world, and the keyless door entry prevents anyone else who is not authorized from entering her private world.

She could get everything she needs for less than $700 which works very well for her peace of mind.

It is a very good thing that I do not do anything creative for a living because my career would be very shortlived.

I couldn't resist, however, having fun creating my own South Park character. I strongly believe that if no inspiration comes to me while I am trying to be creative, it is always safe to use neon pink. You can not go wrong....

Or Can it?
How long do you think my "Pinkie" is going to get beaten up by the regular South Park natives? Ach, I am dying to write this segment.

Lem, our dreamhouse just hit the market. Go, quick, get our checkbook....

paumavalley01

3.4 acre Pauma Valley adobe family compound valued over $11 million will be auctioned with no reserve along with millions in luxury vehicles, art, antiques and furniture.

Pauma Valley, CA (PRWEB) January 14, 2007 -- Nestled 50 miles northeast of San Diego, a secluded country estate located in Pauma Valley will hit the auction block on January 27, according to Kim Paytas of Surf and Country Real Estate.

The secluded country club estate occupies 3.4 acres in a guarded/gated community, which offers the Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf country club, a private 2,900 foot jet landing strip, equestrian center, along with many other amenities and social activities.

Nearly 8,500 square feet of improvements on the property include: a 3,897 square foot Weir Brothers Adobe main house with an attached 2 ½ car garage, detached 1,260 square foot, two bedroom guesthouse/studio, help's quarters, greenhouse, pool house with kitchenette, inviting pool and spa, separate three-car garage suitable for RVs or boats, fountain, two hand-made gazebos, atrium, koi pond and a babbling brook running through the property.

The stunning 1965 adobe main house was restored and completely upgraded with new appliances and fixtures. Flooring consists of hand scraped wood planks, Saltillo tile and travertine. Design elements in the living room of the main house include a massive arched picture window overlooking the lushly landscaped grounds

The landscaping features an impressive 35 ancient enormous California oaks, one is estimated to be between 600 and 800 years old. In addition, there are over 1,000 camellias bushes that are at least 40 years old, fruit trees and hundreds of antique rose bushes. This priceless landscaping makes this one of the most beautiful properties in the state of California. While most of these plants are irreplaceable, an estimated replacement value of over $2 million has been assigned just for the landscaping alone. The landscaping is so impressive that the Camellia Review editor, Mel Belcher, made a special trip out to Pauma Valley and wrote a story about the gold mine of mature camellias.

In addition to the secluded country masterpiece, individual contents of the house will also be auctioned, including: a Rolls Royce Phantom, Continental GT Bentley, Morgan Aero, Azure, Arnage, Corvette, Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, antiques, one-of-a-kind bronze sculptures, jewelry, original oil paintings and furniture.

Due to security, parking and access to the guarded and gated Pauma Valley Country Club, all household contents, including all exotic cars, antiques, motorcycles, jewelry, paintings and sculptures will be auctioned off at Casino Pauma, 777 Pauma Reservation Road, on Saturday, January 27 and Sunday January 28. Private showings are available by appointment only for individuals who would like to preview the real estate.

Let's take a little inventory of what you have stashed away in that secret compartment in your closet.

Handcuffs ... Paddles ... Ticklers ... Whips ... Sexy Lingerie ... Costumes

I know this is not something that you talk about outside your circle of close friends, but let's imagine for a second, that it is. You could get over-the-coffee erotica conversation like "Girl, my man got his superman costume that he ordered and we worked it". Or "She liked the Superman. I think I'll get GI Joe next time." Every woman and man has a sexual fetish, whether they openly admit it or not. What are the most common? Feet fetish, balloon fetish, paddling fetish, leather fetish and some a bit disturbing to mention. In fact, you would be surprised who's hiding what in their closet.

A couple in a relationship has its sexual due dates - not fresh beyond this date. You know, when sex just becomes once a week instead of the twice a day routine at the start. We all know this happens even to the best of relationships. It is just a matter of time - six months, perhaps a year? Then what? This is when you need to let your imagination grow an arm ... and maybe an animal fur paddle to go with the arm.

Foreplay is a very important part of our sexual relationships. Don't forget to play. A couple who plays together stays together.

My dad was born in the Philippines and when he was growing up, all the over-the-counter convenience we have at the local pharmacy now was not available then. That, and he lived in a small island, away from the local city. So, if a family member got sick, my grandma would whip up a herbal remedy to cure the ailness. This tradition was passed on to my family by my father who seems to believe that "all that crap you can buy at the store is never going to be as good."

We are going to take a page from his herbal cold remedies and talk about the age-old healing qualities of ginger. In Asia, ginger is used for its therapeutic and anti-viral qualities to cure the common cold, nausea, and ease depression. When ingested, ginger warms and stimulates your internal your organs and is great for people who have a "cold body". Always buy fresh ginger by looking for a root that has smooth skin with a few joints and twists.

When I feel like I am coming down with a bug, I use these simple home remedies:

A SIMPLE CUP OF TEA

Make Your Favourite tea. Do not use milk or sugar. Grate fresh ginger about 1/2 a teaspoon. Let it steep and drink. Use honey for added sweetness. If tea is not available, a simple cup of hot water will do. You will not taste the ginger as you drink your tea, but you will feel that instant warmness on your throat and chest.

GINGER RICE

If you are like me, and you like eating rice with almost every meal, adding ginger to your rice is also a great way to boost your immune system. I make really small ginger cubes, add it to the water in the pressure cooker and let it cook.

From what I hear, Vancouver is experiencing a very bad flu season this month. It is just as nasty as it comes. Since I work from home, I do not get a chance to go out that often. And still, I caught it! What a way to start the new year! Hopefully, these remedies will work for you as it has for me.

As a blogger, it is always good idea to keep track of your stats, know who is linking to you and who you are linking to. I have just been looking over the webmaster tools available at IwebTool.com. I recommend for everyone to go and visit because their website has some useful tools for the simple blogger.

The webmaster tool I found the most useful is the Visual Page Rank. This is probably the first SEO tool I have come across that tells me the corresponding page rank of each external and internal link (and do I have many...) that I have on each of my websites. It is very interesting to see everything at one glance, and on one page. I also found out at the same time that The Imaginary Diva just made it to PR4! Happy one year anniversary to me!

The Backlink Checker gives you the list of websites that link back to yours, and as an added bonus, also gives you their corresponding page ranks. This gives you somewhat an idea on what Google has indexed as "good" links to your site. There are a lot of other tools available - like Google Banned Checker - want to find out if Google has banned your site from being crawled? The Google PageRank Prediction Tool is saying that The Imaginary Diva is going to make it to PR5 very, very soon. The website also provide neat widgets that you can cut and paste right to your blog if you do not feel like coming back to theirs just to check stats.

I have yet just began to crack the first layer of goodies available on this site, and I am sure that there will be more interesting stuff hiding amongst the pages. If you want to checkout Iwebtool.com, you will need to sign up for free access.

Sort of. At least. Today is the first day in almost two weeks that I feel better. I still drive Lem crazy at night with my tossing and turning. Not to mention that I've taken to some loony mumbling in my sleep. God knows whose state secret I've been whispering to Lem.

I think my body really is feeling the drastic change of seasons. We've had snow storms, wind storms and flooding. Usually we get one or the other, then there will be that big relapse in between the weather changes. Since December there has rarely been a lull. Last week we had some serious flooding everywhere for days. Yesterday we had a huge windstorm and a tree crashed into some house and landed right beside a little girl that was sleeping. We had internet outages in our area for over 6 hours! And Lem comes back in from his cancelled meeting last night to tell me that it's going to snow. There's about 6 inches of snow outside. So far. It's still snowing. What's up with global warming??? Don't make me move to Toronto now. I hear Mother nature swapped our sun with their snow.

My Chinese horoscope says that as a Metal Pig, this year is a good year to make changes such as move to another country. Well folks, if this keeps up, I am going to haul Lem's ass to the Bahamas.... Providing that there is internet wireless at the beach.

I am still sick as a dog. But, I still managed to get a little bit of work done. I have an exclusive with APO Jeans just dying to be written, but my mind is still clouded over with the lack of sleep and the tylenol I have been popping to keep me going. Hopefully I'll feel better by Monday next week.

I missed the first day of salsa class with Diego last night. Lem and I signed up for Level 1 because he wanted to get a feel of Diego's salsa style. He came home and started practicing some of the old moves he learned from Tony's Level 4+ class. He says he made the right decision in trying out Diego and starting from the beginning. FYI - If you live in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and are interested in taking salsa classes - Diego has a 2 for 1 promotion for the month of January www.grupoamerica.net.

I think I might have outgrown this blog template already. I have been playing around with content placement on this blog and I think I may have run out of space. I am considering redesigning a template from scratch. Maybe for two sidebars - one left, and one right. Also maybe design a super, duper Imaginary Diva logo. Maybe in the next week or two, I'll start running some color schemes. Watch out, I've been so good in not to design in bright pink, but my color coordination luck might have run out on me....

Got lots of plans this year for Vancouver Wholesale.

We are still knee deep in inventory count, and as soon as we are able to stick our head out from amidst the big puddle, we'll be taking our fun products on the road.

You got it! Coming to a fetish party in your neighborhood (well, Vancouver at least) we will be sponsoring door crasher giveaways. So, we're getting more products in like satin corsets, our own signature custom pvc party wear, and a few surprises. Oh, and if you are located in British Columbia (anywhere, anywhere, have car will travel), we would love to do home parties, dropshipping ..... Drop me a note.

Did you know that Lem and I maintain a blog for Vancouver Wholesale? If you have not gone ahead and checked it out, there's some really good stuff there.

We are also expanding into distribution of our products to medium and large enterprises. We put that on hold last year because we just got too busy. We work with such great manufacturers in China and it took us awhile to develop very good partners.

MM, what else? I am sick as a dog. I don't know how I got it since I never leave my computer to be social enough. The only thing I can think of is that somebody at Starbucks was sick while they were preparing the coffee Lem surprised me with. My ears just will not stop popping.... I guess you don't really want to hear that.....

I just checked my Clickbank revenue and I can't say it's a total bust.

My biggest problem with Clickbank has always been their return policy. I sell a good amount of ebooks through Clickbank, and I also get quite a bit of returns / refunds.

So, why do people buy ebooks and return them? Because once you have downloaded it, the information is yours? I have never bought an ebook before and maybe I should just to see how Clickbank purchases work. I guess for now, I will go back and promote Clickbank to a certain extent. The commissions are really, really fantastic. As long as the buyers keep them.

It's also good because I am now beginning to understand my Clickbank buyers a little bit more. By evaluating my Clickbank trends, I know which ebooks sell, and which of my websites to sell it at, and which websites can handle more Clickbank articles.

Guess what I did on Christmas Day? Caught the 24 hour marathon of VIP with Pamela Anderson. And what did I do on New Years Day? Another 24 hour marathon of VIP. I know I did the same thing last year because that's when I started blogging. And I blogged about watching the 24 hour marathons, just like I am doing now. I know, there's not much content to the show. The story line sucks, but once in a while you just need to have that mindless show of machismo and eye candies.

Lem and I had such a great holiday. All the eating has gone to the waist line so we have both made a pact for our New Years Resolution - Wake up early (no more 2 in the afternoon rising), eat regularly, and no matter how busy we get our workout can not be put aside for the day. We're doing well on our 2nd day in the New Year. We slept last night at midnight and we were up at 7:30AM. I feel like I get more done when I wake up early. Since I write (write, write, and more write) all day, I get more inspiration and my mind is more alert. We skipped our midnight snacking last night and we are all gungho about today's workout. I even put together a weekly schedule and will be posting it up the wall.

We went for salsa New Year's eve and we had such a blast. It was just me and him and we bumped into all of our friends. Got tanked on wine, dancing, and more wine. I spent New Years day crashed with the biggest hangover and watching VIP.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!
