My answer would be NO.
If you still have Old Blogger, and considering on moving to Blogger Beta, I really would not recommend it. Blogger Beta still has a long way to go when it comes to providing its Bloggers all the cool functionality that you see with Word Press and TypePad.
Instead, consider moving your blog to WordPress. You'll get a lot more functionality and some cool hacks that you'll never be able to get with Blogger Beta. Here are just some hacks that you can get over there: effective spam blockers, flexibility in category and tag controls, nice comment widgets, rate this article, a gazillion of templates to chose from and more.

I didn't get to listen to that article, but from my experience with just reading Blogger Beta blogs (I don't use one) I wouldn't be changing either. I just can't see the benefits, it sucks!
