Lem brought me home a lucky Texas Charm. I usually ask him to bring me back postcards because I collect them. But I already have 2 from Dallas the last time I went there for a business trip.
I think this time I will start collecting charms instead from different cities. He's off to Boston in the next little while. And maybe he'll bring me a charm and a postcard. I dont have either from Boston.
I started my postcard collection when I was about 12 years old. Back in the olden days where the best method for getting in touch with someone was through mail. I was in my German class (Pasadena High in California) and we were assigned Penpals. My penpals were other kids worldwide that was also taking the German language. So, I got one from France, and another one from Switzerland. It so happens that these 2 kids moved quite a bit around, and started sending me postcards from wherever their parents were stationed. I thought that was nice.
Now, I'll start collecting charms.
