My parents legally named me Sharon Ruth in 1971.

Sharon from the Bible context "ROSE OF SHARON" and Ruth from the Bible chapter of Ruth.

So, I thought anyway. My parents are quite religious coming from a deep Bible Belt community and family circle.

I found the US Government's Social Security Website by chance and found that the name Sharon was ranked 40 for popular female baby names in 1971!
